Digitalization and its carbon impact: solutions from Neuchâtel

Digital tools are an integral part of our daily lives. We are constantly being asked to renew our computers, telephones and connected household appliances.

Although intangible, the data produced, sent or stored consumes a non-negligible amount of the energy produced worldwide, whether from fossil or renewable sources. So how can we contain the carbon emissions linked to digital technologies without depriving ourselves of the advantages they offer us? Do local solutions exist? What role can individuals and companies play in reversing the trend? This round-table discussion will be led by Neuchâtel-based digital specialists Fabien Fivaz, Pascal Felber, Ivan Mariblanca Flinch and Mikaël Zennaro, all of whom are involved in and concerned by environmental issues. They will offer concrete ideas and solutions for reducing your carbon footprint.
